Originally built as 1200 class member number 1208, this locomotive was withdrawn from revenue service on the 20th of March 1984 and placed in storage at Radbank Railway Workshops after having covered over 3,000,000 kilometres on the Queensland network. 1208 entered the workshops for what was to be Queensland Rail's first major overhaul of a diesel locomotive. 1208 reentered service as 1225 on the 16th of January 1985. 1225 was not to prove herself a huge success as by this time she was vastly underpowered in comparison to more modern locomotives. 1225 was withdrawn from service in November 1987. 1225 still exist today and can be seen at the back of Radbank workshops on the storage road.
