1200 CLASS DIESEL ELECTRIC LOCOMOTIVE A kit of this locomotive is available from Wuiske Models, click here to view this item. The 1200 class locomotives were introduced to the QGR in July 1953. The ten units comprising the 1200 class (1200-1209) were all withdrawn throughout the 1980s. The last locomotive to remain in service was 1208, seurviving until March 1984. 1208 was later converted into the one and only member of the 1225 class and was finnally written off in February 1988.
